Summary

The article presents information on a study which examined the relationship between managerial effectiveness and age. Researchers at CCL have recently begun a series of investigations on personal determinants of effectiveness ratings. Preliminary results indicate that, indeed, such a relationship exists. This relationship, however, is quite small and takes different directions depending on who is doing the rating. The vehicle for this research effort is Benchmarks.
