    Experience

    Dr. Beth Williford’s background is in Sociology with a focus on qualitative research, social inequality, gender, and community-based social change. Some of her accomplishments have included NSF-funded ethnographic research in the Ecuadorian Amazon as well as peer reviewed publications in the Journal of World Systems Research, Research in Social Movements, Conflicts, and Change, and Sociology Compass. Her applied research includes advancing the creation of an open-source Indigenous language app, using research to uphold the rights of immigrants and asylum-seekers, and integrating lessons from social theory in product development for innovative technologies. Prior to joining CCL, Beth held roles as a UX and Design Research Consultant and as a tenured Sociology professor and Program Director of Women’s and Gender Studies.

    Current Role

    Beth is an Evaluation Associate on the Societal Impact, Insights and Impact team. She supports the custom evaluation work for nonprofit and population health clients, internal research, and evaluation projects.
