Abstract

This study investigated the underlying causal mediation mechanism that might explain why and how the impact of growth mindset interventions vary across different types of schools. The authors found challenge-seeking behavior played a significant mediating role, but only in medium-achieving schools. Implications for designing interventions are discussed.
