To understand the intricacies of feedback, the Center for Creative Leadership surveyed 235 leaders in organizations around the world. The findings presented in this paper clarify the process of giving and receiving feedback, including: (1) how often bosses give feedback, (2) the types of feedback bosses give, (3) the types of feedback preferred from bosses, (4) how often bosses give feedback to direct reports, and (5) best practices for giving and receiving feedback.
